 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I gave 3 stars because the cleaning itself was good and quick. However, the cleaner didn’t have a warm and pleasant disposition. When I brought a couple of concerns to his attention he seemed put upon by me asking him and at one point shrugged and walked off dismissively to get deodorizer for the carpet as I was talking to him. I just wanted him out of my house at that point and told him to not worry about deodorizing. I went ahead and paid him so he could leave. Concerns included him using shoe covers when entering my house and me pointing out that it smelled like motor oil after he finished cleaning my stairs and rug. TBH I think this young man is over-worked and exhausted. This is my first and last time using them.  I don’t like being made to feel uncomfortable in my own home.

What makes Chem-Dry different from steam cleaning?

Steam cleaning relies on large volumes of hot water. Hot Carbonating Extraction relies on carbonation to lift dirt, so it uses about 80% less water. Less water in the carpet means a much shorter dry time and no soaking of the pad underneath.

How long does carpet take to dry?

Usually 1 to 2 hours. Humidity and airflow move that a little, so a damp August afternoon in Kansas City runs longer than a dry one in October. You can walk on the carpet right away.
